A strategic and creative thinker with hands-on knowledge of IT solutions marketing, Sergey Karas is in charge of Global Strategy for the company. Sergey brings to the team over 10 years of business development, product development, IT sales and marketing strategy development/implementation. He has a proven track record of building a pipeline for IT businesses and exceeding established time-to-market targets. At Luxoft, Sergey shapes company strategic direction, oversees marketing and drives global M&A activities.
Sergey has joined Luxoft in 2006 after a 3-year assignment with ITCI, a US-based outsourcing company, which was acquired by Luxoft. At ITCI, Sergey led all marketing initiatives and successfully positioned a company for acquisition. Before ITCI, Sergey led independent business consulting practice for the IT industry.
Previously, from 1999 till 2001, Sergey served as a CEO of a web development company, which he founded and was in charge of interactive marketing services together with offshore web development practice. From 1994 till 1999 Sergey worked for NYC-based consulting boutique as a senior consultant developing business strategies for companies seeking expansion into US markets.
Sergey holds B.A. in Economics and B.S. in Information Systems from Moscow State University.
