Luxoft University sponsors employees who seek professional certifications and additional external training in high-demand disciplines such as Oracle, .Net, Java, and other technologies.

Luxoft manages a program sponsored by the US Department of Energy where Russian nuclear physicists receive computer skills training at Luxoft University training facilities. Luxoft University instructors train the scientists to become Java programmers and software testers.  The specialized training concludes with official Sun, Oracle and Software Testing certification exams.

In addition to software skills, participants are taught the development processes and procedures essential to commercial projects.  Training includes courses teaching the fundamental principles of modern software development projects including instruction covering RUP, business models, requirements management, and more.  Students complete a mock project that in every possible way resembles an actual Luxoft commercial software development project.

Luxoft University also helps integrate program participants into the private sector IT work force.  Luxoft places many program graduates in its own ranks and in other Russian software development companies.  It doesn’t take long to find jobs for these highly intelligent and well trained professionals.
