How we work

LUXproject™

Search for “project management software” and you’ll find a dizzying array of products, each with different features and capabilities that don’t always meet your specific needs. LUXproject™ was born out of the need for more flexible, less time-consuming project management tools. LUXproject™ is an innovative integration platform designed for creating distributed development and project management environments. The platform integrates components developed by Luxoft with specific commercial and non-commercial products and components developed by third-party vendors and open-source communities including:

  • JIRA
  • GreenHopper
  • Confluence
  • FishEye
  • Crucible
  • Subversion
  • Cruise Control/Jenkins
  • WebDav

With LUXproject™, the project team, stakeholders, and customer representatives have 24x7 secured web-based access to the data and functionality based on their roles and responsibilities within the project. “Anytime, anywhere” availability of project artifacts enables effective distributed project execution and ensures transparency and visibility of reliable and up-to-date information.

Because “out-of-the-box” software development methodologies typically have to be tailored to meet project context and specific client requirements and constraints, many popular project management applications are fairly inflexible because the rules are hard-coded into the software or it’s too complex to reuse tailored best practices. LUXproject™ solves that problem by implementing software development models as flexible, changeable templates. Out-of-the-box the software provides several software development methodologies templates such as waterfall/iterative based on RUP and Agile/Scrum.

Project templates

Project templates are the foundation of LUXproject™’s inventive design. The project template predefines a set of role settings, access permissions, information objects (including their attributes and workflow models), functional system modules, screens, reports, document templates and portal structure, and L&F that conform to a specific software development methodology and unique customer requirements.

The advantages of using the LUXproject project templates:

  • Flexibility to choose a configured management environment containing all required components with one mouse-click
  • Integrates best practices from previous projects
  • Capability of tailoring project templates in accordance with particular project needs

LUXproject™’s predefined project templates save time and money:

  • Project template for a traditional waterfall/iterative RUP-based project model compatible with CMMI model requirements
  • Agile/Scrum/Kanban project template
  • Support/Service Desk project template
