Luxoft’s Approach to Agile Projects Delivery
At Luxoft, we focus on developing the most effective performance strategies when working on Agile projects. This includes:
- Creation of collaborative business culture fueled by high client involvement.
- Elimination of waste and overhead caused by micromanagement and raising of project performance and control.
- Acceptance of business-driven decisions based on a transparent metrics system, which includes a detailed comparison with onshore team performance.
- Reliance on effective delivery management models instead of staff augmentation.
- Leveraging an effective risk management system supported by people and expertise.
- Development of technical expertise based on a model of community and collaboration instead of a rigid hierarchical structure.
- Full product quality guarantee for both business and technical aspects.
We deliver our strategies through highly productive teams, which possess unmatched technical expertise, and deep domain experience and are supported through comprehensive development processes and world class IT tools.
Process
Our development process comprises a complete array of services including Functional Analysis; Architecture & Design; Development and Quality Assurance. These are built on the Scrum framework, which uses closely managed two-week iteration cycles and four sprints release cycles along with the guidance of Lean development principles.
We strive to continually improve our processes and therefore embed numerous quality assurance activities into process to penetrate all project stages. They are complemented by the wide use of continuous integration practices as well as: Strong Architecture; Business Analysis; and Quality Assurance Community of Practice (CoP).
By effectively rotating Business Analysts and team members, we are able to provide maximum immersion into the project and better meet the clients’ requirements and objectives.
People
Our project teams are cross-functional, cross-component, and staffed by experienced and knowledgeable engineers. These teams consist of highly motivated people who pay close attention to everyone’s professional development. We have an effective staff management system in place, which includes an array of activities such people risk management, career management and proactive staff demand supply with team extension forecasts.
Tools
Our Agile teams are supported by solid functional and collaborative infrastructure, which consists of a wide variety of modern development tools.
Project success strongly depends on the quality of the communication model put in place. That’s why we use the whole spectrum of instruments – to enable open and instantaneous communications. Our toolkit includes:
- State-of-the art video conference facilities
- Community-driven Web 2.0 communications: live, blogs, video casts
- Advanced communication tools: SMART, eBeam
