Luxoft takes the IP protection seriously. The company believes “an ounce of prevention equals a pound of cure and puts great focus on enforcing various IP Protection methods. Specific steps taken by Luxoft include:
- Signing of NDA
- Signing of authorship waiver agreements
- Each employee, upon being hired, undergoes an introductory course on IP rights
In addition to direct IP measures, Luxoft practices the following protection programs.
Physical Protection
Every Luxoft development center has:
- Sound-proof walls
- Restricted access
- Camera surveillance
- Guards
- Physically secure areas and a dedicated VLAN
- Cisco PIX firewalls with IDS at all external entry points
- Redundant, fail-proof configurations at critical points (network switches, routers, firewalls, domain controllers)
- Virus protection on all feeds into and out of the customer cell
- Encrypted data feeds (using VPN and/or dedicated channels) between the customer and vendor
Luxoft physical security policies are based on ISO17799/BS7799 standards. Our development centers regularly pass the security audits of companies such as IBM, Dell, and Deutsche Bank.
Automatic Rights Transfer
The standard contract with Luxoft stipulates that all intellectual property resulting from contract execution is automatically transferred to the customer.
Upon request Luxoft provides assistance with IP rights registration with Rospatent (Russian Patent Authority).
