LUXproject is an integration platform designed for creating distributed development and project management systems. The system is based on special modules and components developed by Luxoft, third-party vendors and open-source products including:

  • JIRA
  • Confluence
  • FishEye
  • Version Control System (Subversion, Perforce)
  • Cruise Control
  • WebDav etc.

LUXproject is a solution for a project team, stakeholders as well as for the Customer representatives. LUXproject provides users with roles-based access, which ensures that certain functionality is available for a particular user depending on his/her role.

Management mechanisms used in LUXproject and availability of the project artifacts anytime from anywhere allow the Company management to organize transparent project management and always have reliable and up-to-date information.

Luxproject supports several software development methodologies (RUP, Agile/SCRUM). Support of the methodologies is implemented as project templates in system.

Project template

Many companies have problems with popular project management solutions because of “hard-coded” management model and rules. To address this problem LUXproject provides project templates.

Project template predefines a set of functional modules settings (which includes issues, wiki–content, version repository, project roles access, and portal structure) for a certain software development methodology and Customer requirements.

The advantages of the project templates:

  • Opportunity to choose a configured management environment with all required components by one mouse-click
  • Possibility of using best practices from previous projects
  • Capability of tailoring project templates in accordance with particular project needs

• LUXproject includes several predefined project templates:

  • Project template for a traditional RUP- based project model with waterfall/iteration lifecycle (CMMI requirements support)
  • Agile/SCRUM project template
  • Project Management Office project template designed for aggregating status information on several projects (Projects Program Management)
  • Support/Service Desk project template
