The SEI ratings, developed by Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, Pa., assist customers in determining reliable and low-risk suppliers of software products and services. SEI maturity ratings are earned through an exhaustive independent evaluation involving analysis and review of a company’s software development capability, processes and products.
