New York & Moscow, November 7, 2006
Tomorrow Bill Wood, VP of Engineering for Ping Identity, a market leader in Identity Management technologies, will share the secrets of success in working with Luxoft, one of Russia’s leading providers of end-to-end information technology development services, at the Global Services nCounter Series on Offshore Product Development. At the event, hosted by CMP Media at the San Francisco Ritz Carlton, Mr. Wood’s remarks will focus on Ping and Luxoft’s highly collaborative use of the Agile methodology across development teams in Denver CO and Moscow to speed time to market.
With a dedicated Agile Excellence Center, Luxoft is a Russian and Eastern European pioneer in leveraging this increasingly popular development methodology, which relies on iterative, incremental work of self-organized and self-managed teams for faster, highly collaborative software development.
Session participants will hear first-hand from Mr. Woods, how the vendor-client relationship between Ping Identity and Luxoft has evolved over the past 5 years, what best practices have resulted, and how Agile - typically thought to be best suited for in-house development teams - can be leveraged in a distributed team environment.
Following an extensive global partner search - and after hitting snags with outsourcing players in India and Mexico - Ping chose Luxoft to create a dedicated Offshore Development Center (ODC) in Moscow. Luxoft serves as a fully integrated extension of Ping’s product development and testing teams and provides access to Russia’s best IT talent pool, advanced project methodologies and cutting-edge technology skills.
“It is always exciting for Luxoft to have a key customer like Ping Identity speak to industry peers about best practices resulting from our relationship,” said Dmitry Loschinin, President and CEO, Luxoft. “This forum should provide particularly interesting insights, however, given that our joint team has successfully employed Agile across geographies and time zones and we can share practical tips on how other companies can have similar success and gain competitive advantage.”
